What a facility!

The SuperSport team have visited many circuits in many parts of the world. Some are indoors and some outdoors, some stand-alone, and others are part of "FEC's" (Family Entertainment Centers).

The latest installation by the SuperSport team took place at an FEC in Jersey known as "Jersey's Living Legend Village".

The main Karting building within the facilityThe whole facility is, quite simply, outstanding and equal attention has been paid to the design and construction of the new kart track.

The name, Living Legend, comes from a state-of-the-art show which runs at least once an hour every day of the week detailing the story of Jersey's history before, throughout and after WWII. featuring many popular British actors (John Nettles, Tony Robinson, Brian Blessed, Samantha Janus, Kevin Whately and others) the show is a "Disney-Like" feast of audio, visual and moving models that anyone who has visited a theme park in the USA will be familiar with. One of the superb Restaurants at Jersey Karting

The facility also boasts not one, but TWO 18-hole mini-golf courses, one of which climbs up a "mountain" with fantastic waterfalls and other special "effects". Along with Jersey souvenir and craft shops, childrens entertainment and many other activities the facility can provide a spectacular full day out for a whole family.

The Restaurants on site serve superb food and the company can cater for 1000 people on site which is a claim that few, if any other, kart tracks could make.

The management team of Gerard Clavel and Roger Cutting have, most recently, turned their attention to their latest addition to the Living Legend Village, Jersey Karting. The new Electric Bowman Karts ready to go

A 550 Metre outdoor circuit was designed, constructed and fully landscaped in record time. To maintain the quiet family atmosphere of the facility, electric Bowman karts were chosen. The performance of these karts was most surprising, demonstrating the advancements in electric power for corporate/rental Karting in recent years.

Gerard and Roger visited many Kart circuits in the UK and USA and visited several trade shows (including IAAPA in the USA) before finally deciding on SuperSport to handle their circuit management and timing and scoring. A combination of features, price, free backup and support and recommendations from existing users were the main reasons for their choice.WinTim-XP and WinTime WorkShop being installed

The installation took just 3 days and comprises the latest Windows timing systems, WinTime-XP, along with the, almost obligatory, Grafix displays. WinTime WorkShop takes care of all the kart maintenance recording and Health & Safety issues, and the WT-Reception package, with two terminals, handles all diary booking for the circuit. One bank of Grafix Monitors being installed

A number of recent additions to the WinTime system were also installed including the "Marshal Monitor" and the system also totally automatically controls the speed of the karts at the beginning and end of each drive allowing circuit staff to concentrate on ensuring their clients gain the maximum fun from their time in the karts.WinTime Reception handles all the bookings

The Grafix displays are on four 28 inch Plasma TV's mounted above the main Spectator Areas and there are two banks of these monitors.

WinTime Reception takes care of all driver booking onto the circuit and also, with it's comprehensive Diary function allows the circuit to book corporate events effectively maximising track usage. All fully networked, one WT-Reception sits at the track reception and the other in the main booking office.

Some of the very first Jersey Karting CustomersDuring the first weekend of being open, and without any form of advertising the circuit achieved an "arrive-and-Drive" level of over 150 drivers.

Perhaps the most "Grand" entrance to a Kart Track?Without a doubt, Jersey Karting at Jersey's Living Legend is a facility that everyone involved in the construction should be very proud of.
