Hunts Kart Racing Club
The Hunts Kart Racing Club
based at the large and very popular Kimbolton circuit has been suffering with
timing system problems for several months.
Using the system which, until now, was the most widely used one at Club circuits in the UK, the staff have recently been working against the odds trying to get their race meetings to run smoothly.
It
says much for the professionalism and quality of the club committee and staff
that competitors have rarely known about most of the problems, but behind the
scenes, these dedicated people were working flat out to attempt to provide their
competitors with reliable results.
Their last race of the 2004
season was crucial for deciding most of the class championships and so, to
attempt to lessen the chances of problems, HKRC asked SuperSport to supply and
run a system for the day.
The SuperSport staff drafted in Ian Rogers (MSA Timekeeper from Beccles and District Kart Club) to act as the official timekeeper, and other SuperSport staff were on hand to help the Kimbolton committee if necessary.
As you might expect from SuperSport, however, no further "hand-holding" was necessary.
HKRC Committee member, Richard sums it up perfectly, saying "Despite the pressure of the meeting being the club championship decider, the SuperSport system ran flawlessly all day. We were very impressed by the efficiency of WinTime Club Pro and also by how user-friendly it is".
SuperSport are now hoping to supply HKRC with a system for the 2005 season so that the Kimbolton drivers are able to enjoy the same reliable and accurate results services provided at the ever-growing number of other clubs using WinTime Club PRO.
