Teamworks Karting - Birmingham, UK
Teamworks Karting Birmingham is a brand new State-of-the-Art Indoor Karting centre in Birmingham, UK. Building on their original concept of a "Corporate" Indoor Kart Track in London, Teamworks upgraded to SuperSport from an old Windows 2000 system which they had previously used in their London venue.
Owners Michael and Simone have extensive knowledge of karting and the requirements for a Rental-Kart circuit, not only from their own experience of running a top-class facility in London, but also because they act as the biggest booking agent in the UK, organising corporate events at over 20 other circuits across the UK.
When opening their first facility (in London, UK) Teamworks chose another brand of timing and circuit management system. With the experience of this system they sought a more feature-rich and easy-to-use system for their Birmingham facility.
Several
unique aspects of the SuperSport system appealed to them. The facility of
booking drivers in at reception and then having their pictures displayed
alongside all of their lap times and race results on the "Grafix" monitors was
one that appealed to Michael and Simone, and visitors to their circuit have
proved them right with some wonderful feedback.
The WinTime WorkShop package keeps track of all of the preventative maintenance and running repairs to their fleet of electric Bowman karts and also is invaluable to help circuit mechanics to schedule their time properly and ensure all necessary work is carried out on time.
The
full installation comprised of Console Timing and Scoring, 2 sets of "Grafix"
monitors, one in the main spectator area, the other in their luxurious bar area,
the WinTime Reception package for fully controlling and administering drivers
going onto the track and, of course WinTime Workshop. SuperSport were also able
to quickly modify their software to send data to the large LED sign that
Teamworks had previously purchased to run with their old Windows 2000 software.
With
this package Teamworks are able to fully administer their busy facility whilst
also providing all drivers with an unrivalled level of timing and scoring
information via "Grafix" and the large LED scoreboard.
