Speed Karting in Warrington, UK can be rightly proud of their facility. It lays claim to being one of the largest circuits in the UK and has a superb raised "flyover" section for the drivers.
With lap times over 50 seconds the track offers everything for novice and experienced drivers alike.
The facility has now upgraded to the latest SuperSport "Console" timing system, with the, now, obligatory, GRAFIX results display system, WinTime Workshop for Kart maintenance recording and control and WT Reception to book drivers directly through for Arrive & Drive and Events (along with their Pictures) to the track from the front reception desk.
Having a very large spectator area, the team at Speed have not held back, and have installed a set of FOUR GRAFIX monitor banks (so 16 monitors in total) making sure that everyone has the ability to easily see the race results and graphical information being constantly updated for the on-track action.
The GRAFIX display has become one of SuperSport's most popular modules. The system uses four monitors to display more information than can be displayed by any other system and it does so in a very colorful and FULLY animated way.
Between races the monitors
can display a carousel of "rolling" adverts allowing a track operator to sell
advertising space.
These monitors are always incredibly popular with drivers and tracks have found raising revenue for advertising has been easy.
Speed have also installed in their reception area the WT reception package which allows front desk staff to book in (and financially trace) all Arrive-and-Drive drivers, and for events such as Endurance and especially Grand Prix, to take their pictures on an inexpensive WebCam. These pictures are then displayed on the GRAFIX monitors next to the drivers' results.
The track at Speed is challenging and has a massive flyover. Close Circuit TV's keep spectators interested in the on-track action that they might otherwise not be able to see.
The WinTime WorkShop package keeps track of all preventative maintenance and damage repairs and advises mechanics of scheduled servicing which becomes due.
The system is essential in
today's litigious society to prove (all date and time-stamped) all of the
work that has been carried out on any and every kart.
